Velato Online Compiler

Velato is an esoteric programming language by Daniel Temkin, which uses MIDI files as source code. Programs in Velato are defined by the pitch and order of notes. Velato is intended to allow for flexibility in composition, so functional programs will not necessarily sound like random notes.

More information on Velato can be found at:

Velato Online uses the Velato compiler 0.1 to process MIDI files and print the output of the generated file.

Limitations: the online compiler may not be able to understand all MIDI source code. In particular, MIDI files generated with recent versions of LilyPond don't seem to parsable. Files generated with gmn2midi to convert text using the GUIDO Notation System into MIDI files are usually correct.
